WS PIVOT SHARPNERN E/F/G The Work Sharp EDC Pivot Knife Sharpener is a fast, easy and effective way to sharpen any knife you own. Convex Carbides quickly restore a sharp edge; while the fine grit ceramic rods hone the edge to factory level sharpness. Pivot Response follows the curve of the blade when sharpening making it easier and more consistent. Additional medium grit diamond sharpening surface is ideal for touching up knives, tools and even fishhooks. Compact size easily stows in your pack, pocket, tool or tackle box.
PIVOT KNIFE SHARPENER USER GUIDE Place knife in carbide sharpening slot at the heel of the blade. Pull knife through using medium pressure. 1 SHARPEN 1 PRO TIP PRO TIP MORE PRO TIPS Slide the red button left to activate Pivot Response. This allows the convex carbide mechanism to follow the curve of the blade and increase material removal for heavy sharpening. Slide the red button right to lock out Pivot Response, this will reduce material take off and is better suited for lighter sharpening applications. Switch to the ceramic hone. Follow the same steps as 1 above. Use only the ceramic hone for re-sharpening. This elliptic sharpening steel has a micro fine surface and is available in three different lengths. It helps you to align the knife edge back into a central position. Pull the knife’s edge a few times lightly against the sharpening steel with a 15-20 degree angle. Switch between the cutting edge both sides. The knife should be placed against the sharpening steel at the same angle corresponding to the cutting edge top angle. This angle between the sharpening steel and knife edge must be maintained while drawing the knife from the back edge to the knife point. The last “draw“ should be very light.
